Webster Basketball Association
League Outline

Composed of only Webster Central School District residents.

Combined grade levels: 1^st/2^nd3^rd/4^th 5^th/6^th 7^th/8^th

Players may bring their own basketballs

5^th-8^th Grade Level

8 - 10 players on each team. Boys and girls will be on separate teams. Game shirts will be provided.

Commissioner for each grade level will be used for communicating to other coaches in respectful league.

5^th-8^th grade boys and girls the coaches will be parents, with at least two coaches per team . Time sheets must be used for each game and turned in.

5^th-8^th grade boys and girls play in a one hour game anytime from 12-6 on Sundays.

5^th-8^th grade boys and girls will receive a one hour practice each week.

5^th-8^th grade boys and girls leagues includes a year end tournament.

Students and high school basketball players will referee.

Students & parents will help keep score.

W.B.A select team: Tryout for a team after the season to play in a few tournaments.

1^st- 4^th Grade Level

1^st/2^nd& 3^rd/4^thlevel will include a J.V. or Varsity basketball player to help coach the first 40 minutes.

The player and parent/coach will follow a basketball curriculum applicable to the age level.

1^st- 4^th league 40 min practice before playing a running 20 minute scrimmage

1^st - 4^th grade emphasis is on instruction, scores & records are not kept.

son or daughter would be there for a one hour time block
starting at either 12, 1, or 2. 1^st and 2^ndgraders always get the first time slots.
